People often ask me how I came up with my gourmet cupcakes. Each cupcake has its own story and flavor inspirations rooted in cherished childhood memories that always bring a smile to my face. Orange Creamsicle was one of my mom's favorite popsicle flavors, and it often inspired her gourmet cupcakes. I remember as a kid grocery shopping with her, getting excited when she would add them to the cart. We would go home and sit on the back porch steps, relishing those creamsicle moments together - mother and adoring son, sharing our own little cupcake stories.

It’s about my 4th grade teacher, Miss Peabody, who had a unique way of connecting with her students. She was the kind of teacher who let you get away with anything if you were on her good side. As luck would have it, she was related to our good friends, and my mom often had her babysit my newborn sister. While my sister was tiny and in diapers, Miss Peabody and I would spend some time baking cookies—yes, chocolate chip cookies! Those were the days when we got to relax in class, and she would read stories to us. Shhh... don’t tell anyone, but while I munched on my cookies, she would read ahead to me, giving me a sneak peek of what was coming in class. So, in a way, this gourmet cupcake I create is dedicated to her.

Who remembers those summer nights and campfires? The wind switching directions and the smoke getting in your eyes? Those are the fun-filled summer nights of camping, where my dad and his best friend Gary would bring out the marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars to create the best flavor inspirations for S'mores.
